PAPERCUT COMMISSIONS
The Papercut Commission Process
I WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITH CLIENTS TO CREATE PAPERCUT ART FOR PERSONAL AND COMMERCIAL USE. HERE'S A GUIDE EXPLAINING THE PROCESS.
FIRST CONTACT
Whether online or in-person, on our first few meetings, we will discuss what you have in mind. Whether you have a vague idea or a vivid idea, we'll flesh it out together. We will also discuss colour, size & any other requests that you might have.
SKETCH
Once I have a clear idea of what you're looking for, I'll sketch out concepts in pencil. Once we fix on a direction, I'll send you the cost & time estimate for the artwork.
CONTRACT & DEPOSIT
Once I receive your approval, a Commission Agreement with the estimate and a written description of your papercut artwork will be emailed to you.
When I receive the signed & completed Commission Agreement with 50% deposit, the papercut artwork will be scheduled to begin.
CREATING THE PAPERCUT
Before the papercut artwork is finished, I will share multiple work-in-progress photos.
FINAL ARTWORK
Depending on the complexity of the artwork, it normally takes me 1-2 weeks to finish a papercut piece. Upon completion, I'll send you multiple photographs of the artwork along with the final invoice.
SHIPMENT
Upon receiving the balance, I will ship the papercut to you. If you so wish, I could also frame the artwork for you before shipment.
Please note that the cost of shipment & framing is not covered in the papercut fee and would be charged separately.
PRICE
The price for each original papercut varies on a case to case basis based on the level of complexity of the piece. Size matters less than the level of intricacy and layering. Please send me an email for an average estimate.
